A Suitcase's worth of magazines, Java in Manila, among others
my first blog! anyway.. better get started now..
i've had a number of job-related interview and exam invitations today, from Azeus, FBM Software and Kmunication Philippes. I really want to get hired at Sofgen as a Java/Web programmer, though. It's my priority company now, so if ever I get a call from them.. I'd prepare really hard to get hired.
I was supposed to be in school around 9am today, but I had trouble finding magazines to be used for our collage in psychology. after about 30 minutes, I emerged from the house with about 60 magazines, mostly from my elementary days. when I got to school, i was told that the collage plan wouldn't push through.. so much for bringing a suitcase's worth of magazines. i just wish that they could have told me a bit earlier.. anyway, I got to give the magazines to a group member, who's in charge of *decorating* the journals we're going to make. she's gonna decorate my journal since I won't be able to personally hand it to her tomorrow because of the Java in Manila conference.
I finally signed the completion form for CS155. Sir Ignacio told me that he'd sign and submit the form this week. That form is crucial for my survival.. without it.. i wouldn't graduate. The thesis.. oh well.. I'm thanking my stars that Ma'am Pancho agreed to extend the presentation to Friday of this week. She'll be plugging the thing onto the server, so its there where it might get pretty sticky, since our thesis doesn't support session management as of present writing.
tomorrow, we've volunteered to participate as usherettes for the Java In Manila at the Intercontinental Hotel Manila. We're supposed to be there at 7am.. thank God for the MRT. I don't think I would be able to make it on time if the MRT was not built.. We'll be getting around PhP200 as meal allowance. I might stop by PowerBooks before going home tomorrow
Thesis.. I have huge eyebags already.. we're up for presentation at 10am on Friday. If we don't finish it by Friday, we're not hoing to graduate. I'll try to work on my Stat101 substitution form by that time as well. I just hope to graduate without any hitches along the way. And get the job I want would be a sweet plus..
Graduation.. that would be on the 25th of April. The graduation ball would be on the 27th. I'm not that psyched that I will be attending, though. I'd rather stay home than get out of the house on a gown to party.
After clearance, etc. I'll be enrolling in Center for Pop, still to prepare for December's song number for my grandparents' wedding anniversary. Some told me that Center for Pop activities will also give my self-confidence a much needed boost. I just want to be a great singer.. not the best. But I'd like to impress people when I sing, and I can't do that if I myself am not impressed with my song delivery.
So much for my first blog. I'll try to update this as often as I can.
:-)
